TWO PROJECTS WORTH R1 BILLION UNDER CONSTRUCTION IN THE COEGA IDZ

The Coega Development Corporation (CDC) announced on Thursday that work has commenced on two of the projects worth over R1 billion at the Coega IDZ. The CDC earlier this year announced that investment projects worth over R1 billion are ready for implementation in the Coega IDZ. The three projects which include a R650-million manufacturing cement grinding Plant, a R71-million readymix concrete Plant, and a R350- million Gas Cylinder Plant. The two projects currently under construction include, MM Engineering a R350-million Gas Cylinder Plant which, when in full operation, will create over…

Interpack sees launch of new Fanuc flexible robot controller

Fanuc is launching a new robot controller, which will facilitate the integration of automation and robotics processes, at this year’s Interpack in Germany. The controller, known as the J-30iB, uses core Fanuc robot technology to provide an easy-to-operate solution that can increase productivity and decrease downtime for manufacturers. The J-30iB is able to coordinate multiple machine axes operating simultaneously, helping to facilitate complex project engineering and servo axis positioning integration tasks. The controller’s flexibility means it can be applied to any automation or robot integration requirements, while providing a consistently high level of precision and control.…

Programmable multi-axis controllers with performant motion control technology

Omron announces the global release of its new CK3E Programmable Multi-Axis Controllers and Industrial PC Platform NY51_-A IPC Programmable Multi-Axis Controllers (PMAC). Omron and Omron’s Delta Tau Data Systems (“DT”) worked together to develop the PMAC controllers with motion controltechnology from DT. PMAC achieves sophisticated fine-tuning control, including high-speed synchronous control of various factory automation (FA) devices, thanks to built-in EtherCAT connectivity which is used for production lines and equipment all over the world. Its development environment allows users to programme their own motion algorithms and motion control functions, such as trajectory calculation and position compensation, in C and original programming languages. In…
