Troubleshooting electrical systems is time-consuming and involves potential safety risks due to the contact with live circuits. For years, technicians and engineers have been using the Fluke T5 electrical tester with open-fork technology as it allows current measurements to be made without breaking circuits.
But we have recently developed the new revolutionary T6 Electrical Testers with FieldSense Technology, which makes measuring voltage even safer. The T6 improves on the T5’s open fork functionality by performing not only ac current but also ac voltage and frequency measurements. While the technology in the T5 detects a magnetic field to derive an ac current measurement, the T6’s new FieldSense technology detects an electrical field. Voltage and current measurements can then be made on one device at the same time, in real time.
